This Period American Federal Hepplewhite dining table is quite rare because the top and each of the drop leaves where cut from the same single wide board. The grain is stunning and very pronounced with a deep rich uniform color. This table could easily seat eight people. Measures 48 inches wide,29 and seven eighths inches high, 18 and one half inches deep with two 19 inches leaves. This table is strong, all original with out repairs with a later hand rubbed finish that will not leave water marks when used. The leaves are perfectly straight which is quite unusual to find. This is one of our favorite American Federal dining table designs with its very pleasing to the eye straight tapered legs. This is the first table from this period that we have ever had where the top and two leaves were cut from the same single wide board.
