Period American Hepplewhite cherry butler's sideboard c1790. Two small drawers over on large drawer flanked by two bottle drawers over three drawers. The piece is all original accept its finish which was enhanced many years ago. This is a rare piece of American Federal furniture in a very unusual size. It measures 49 and one half inches to the top of its wave cut back splash, 42 and one half inches wide, 20 inches deep and 40 and one half inches to the top middle surface. Fine hand cut dovetails. The gently scalloped base ends in low French feet. We even have the original key.

Full height. The top opens to allow for extra secret storage area.

The side chairs each measure 16 inches high to the top of their seats. The seat is 14 and one half inches wide and 13 inches front to seat back and 34 inches high overall. The arm chairs measure 33 inches and 36 inches high overall, 17 inches high to the seat top, 15 and one half inches seat to back, 16 inches wide inside the arms, 25 and 27 inches high to the arms, 18 inches deep overall. See "The English Windsor Chair" by Thomas Crispin page 13 for more information on this type of period antique English Windsor chair. Each chair is in excellent condition,strong, tight and quite comfortable. This set was brought back from England

- - - - - - - - - - - - | Adirondack hickory lodge furniture table rocker and two chairs c1890 Item # 4896 Click HERE to inquire about this item Adirondack hickory lodge furniture set consisting of a table, rocker and two chairs c1890. This Adirondack furniture was made from Hickory and was used in the lodges in up state New York during the late 19th century. People would travel to these lodges to get away for the heat of the city. This type of Hickory furniture was made from the Hickory trees in that area and proved to be quite strong and could withstand the different temperature changes that existed when the lodges where closed up for the winter months. Today this furniture is prized by collectors. The condition of this set is very good, strong, comfortable and not loose in any way. The quality of these antique pieces so so far superior to present day reproductions. The table measures 36 inches across and 28 inches high. The two chairs each measure 36 and one half inches to the top of their backs, 27 inches to the tops of their arms, 20 inches wide and 17 inches to the seat. The rocker measures 33 and one half inches to the top of its back, 17 inches to the seat, 20 inches deep and 27 inches to the top of its arm.

- - - - - - - - - - - - | John Breuner Birdseye maple beveled glass cheval mirror c1890 Item # 4927 Click HERE to inquire about this item John Breuner Sacramento California furniture company birdseye maple beveled glass cheval mirror c1890. This birdseye maple cheval mirror is in mint original condition. The original John Breuner label is still on the reverse. The front and back are all covered with birdseye maple and the scroll design is all hand carved. As nice as the pictures we have provided look this cheval mirror is far more important looking in person. The light maple color gives it an elegant look. Measures 71 and one quarter inches high by 32 inches at its widest point. The design of this antique Cheval mirror is quite unusual, it was handmade so the the mirror and the supporting arms pivot without having to move the whole piece or its base. John Breuner, a famous Sacramento furniture maker, was reputed to have started his career building cradles for the miners and had a thriving business building sturdy beds.
